What makes Anastasia's Crown different?

We take the time to listen, we explain what we are doing and why, and we tell you when a service is not right for you. Yvette Royal created the studio as a crown for her niece Anastasia, and that care shows up in how every client is treated.

Does the studio work with diverse skin tones?

Yes. We are proud to serve Black women and clients of every skin tone. Your treatments and products are chosen for your skin, and we explain what we are using and why.

Where are you located?

We are located at 5410 Centre Ave in Shadyside. The studio is convenient to Oakland, Bloomfield and Pittsburgh's East End. Call us with any parking or accessibility questions and we will talk you through it.

Endermologie

What is Endermologie?

Endermologie is a noninvasive, FDA cleared treatment by LPG. During a session the treatment head gently rolls and massages the skin and the tissue underneath it. There are no injections, no surgery, no anesthetic and no downtime.

Is Endermologie right for everyone?

No. We discuss your health history and what you want to work on during the consultation. If a medical question comes up, we will ask you to speak with your physician before moving forward.

Why is Endermologie planned as a series?

The results build over time, so most clients are treated across several sessions. We recommend a number of sessions for you at your consultation.

Is Endermologie a weight loss treatment?

No. Endermologie is body care, not a weight loss treatment. If weight is part of what you want to work on, we also offer nutrition coaching.

What should I wear for an Endermologie treatment?

Nothing special. We provide a treatment bodysuit for body sessions. For a face session, come with clean skin and no makeup if you can.

Will it hurt?

Most clients describe it as a firm, rhythmic massage. Tell us at any point and we will adjust the intensity.

What should I expect during a consultation?

We will talk about what concerns you and any relevant history, explain the treatment and the treatment head we would use, and recommend a plan for your areas and your schedule. You will know what the series looks like before anything is booked.

Care after surgery

Do you provide support after surgery?

Yes. We offer lymphatic massage after surgery, which usually begins about one week out. Tell us your procedure and your surgery date when you book so we reserve the right appointment length.

Does care after surgery require surgeon clearance?

Yes. Your surgeon must clear you for lymphatic massage in writing, and we ask you to bring that clearance with you. Questions about your surgical recovery stay with your surgeon.

Waxing

How should I prepare for waxing?

Your hair needs to be long enough for the wax to grip, so avoid shaving or trimming close to your appointment. Call us if you are not sure. We give you aftercare guidance at your visit, since it depends on the service and your skin.

Is a first Brazilian different?

Yes. The First Time Brazilian Wax is a slower appointment where we explain everything as we go.

What wax do you use?

We use Bombshell wax products. We also teach the Bombshell national certification Brazilian wax class for licensed professionals and cosmetology students.

Facials & skin

Which products do you use?

We only use the best skin care for our customers and clients. We do not use added fragrance, parabens, emulsifiers, or endocrine disruptors. Our products use limited preservatives. Each facial is customized around your skin, your concerns, and what it needs at the time of your appointment.

Do I need a patch test before a chemical peel?

Yes. The Premier Patch Test is required before your first chemical peel and is booked as its own visit.

Lashes & brows

How do I book with Jessica for lashes?

Choose a lash service in our online scheduler, or call the studio and ask for Jessica Pearson. She is a licensed esthetician and Your Beauty Confidant. Your set starts with a consultation that uses imaging technology to show which lash style suits your eye shape.

How do I keep a full set looking new?

Infill and refill appointments keep an existing set full. Jessica will recommend how often to come back.

Is there a shorter term option?

Yes. The Cluster Lash Set is a good choice for events and travel.

Booking & payments

How do I book?

Every service is booked through our online scheduler, where you can see availability, appointment length and pricing. You can also call the studio.

Are payment plans available?

CareCredit and Cherry offer payment options for qualifying clients. Financing is subject to eligibility and approval, and each provider supplies its own terms. Anastasia's Crown is not the lender.

Can I book a spa party or certification class?

Yes. Spa parties, certification classes, makeup tutorials, photo shoots and off site wedding parties are arranged by phone and may be priced differently.
